Nothing is worse than having your beautiful, spotless rug ruined by fingernail polish. It stands out like a sore thumb, and is seemingly impossible to remove. If you've ever found yourself in this predicament, here is the solution.

Acetone (fingernail polish remover will work, as it has acetone in it)
- A few clean, dry towels
- Spotter (spot remover)
1. Saturate a clean, dry towel with acetone.
2. Pat the stain with an acetone saturated towel to apply the acetone. Be sure to work from the outside of the stain towards the middle. By starting the cleaning process at the edge the stain, you will prevent making the stain any bigger than it already is. Also, do not pour the acetone directly on the stain. It may damage the underlying padding, and make the stain spread as well.
3. Take a dry section of the towel (or a 2nd towel), and extract the nail polish and acetone by firmly pressing down on the stain.
4. After the stain is no longer visible, take another completely dry towel, and press down firmly on the wet spot to remove as much residue as possible.
5. Spray the area with an all purpose spotter, such as Vinex and saturate the wet spot. This will remove any remaining residue. Again, firmly pat the wet spot until it's dry.
6. Let the area air dry for a few hours
